Modified to use "rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs @packages" so it doesn't simply
die when a package is already installed.

Bug 2071: Remove mod_throttle and mod_bandwidth.  May be incorrect as I do
not know at this time the true names of the packages.

Update to look for 3.7 systemperl

Print version number of install.pl in the file.

Removed mention of the version of LON-CAPA being installed.

Fixed idiocy in firewall (still disable firewalls :( )
Found another php package to remove.

BUG 1137 FIXED. Specifying /sbin/ path for chkconfig

Uncommented code to turn off ipchains and iptables.  Will soon modify
existing firewalls to include 5663 and 8080.

No longer do stupid --force --nodeps on rpm installs.  Call chkconfig to
ensure services are going to be started okay.  Added ntp (and libcap, which
it requires) to the installation.  ntp is not configured and no mention
is made of it during the install.

Change to make it easier to grab a custom version of LON-CAPA to install.

Can't put the installation log file in /tmp because it gets cobbered
occasionally.

Added krb5 development rpm.  I think we need it....

Version 0.6.0 commit.  Added netpbm rpms, kerberos (4 and 5) rpms.
Expect another commit relatively soon.

bug workaround for mysql version 3.23 (49-51) which includes
RH7.3 and RH8.0.

this is really frustrating... it didn't used to require single quotes..
and this changes the entry inside mysql:db table.

Install dvips and omit installing appletalk.
I should have committed this a long time ago.

BUG 809 FIXED; should only grant privileges to loncapa.* for
the www user (above all SHOULD NEVER GRANT PRIVILEGES TO THE
"user" database...which includes root)

instructions now consistent with rerolled tarball

Minor fix in text to user - loncapa-current.tar.gz isn't doing the numbering
yet.

synchronizing with the file-based distribution scheme of versions

Added Apache & Openssh upgrades.  Fixed language dependence in check to see
if mysqld is running.

Added ImageMagick RPMs.

More documentation in the comments.  I should probably add some POD stuff
at some point.
