\label{Docs_Adding_External_Resource}

Web Pages housed on a web server external to the LON-CAPA content network
can be displayed in a LON-CAPA course, within the standard interface, (i.e.,
inline menu including navigation controls, and links/icons), by adding an
External Resource to the course.

\begin{enumerate}

\item Select \textbf{Course Editor} on the Inline Menu or
\includegraphics[width=0.03\paperwidth]{docs}
\textbf{Edit course contents}
within Main Menu.

\item On the in-line menu of the \textbf{Course Editor} screen,
click \fbox{External}. Next click on
\includegraphics[width=0.03\paperwidth]{extres}
\textbf{External Resource}.
\item Type in the title of the web resource you wish to add in the \textbf{Title} text box.
\item Type in the URL of the web resource in the \textbf{URL} text box.
\item Click the \fbox{Preview} button to see if the web resource is in the frame below the entry fields.
\item Click the \fbox{Add Link} button to add the web resource to the course.

\end{enumerate}

NOTE: Your new resources will be visible the next time you log in, or by \fbox{re-initializing course}.
