This feature can be used to export some or all parts of your course to an IMS package suitable for import into a Course Management system (CMS) that can import IMS 1.1 content packages. After clicking the button a page will be displayed that allows you to indicate which parts of your course you wish to export. IMS export will preserve the folder hierarchy of your course, and it will be recreated when you import the course into another CMS.

If you have built simple problems they will be converted to standard LON-CAPA problems (i.e., the problem types that can be created and edited in Authoring Space). If your course includes problems imported from the LON-CAPA Resource repository, each of the problems for which you are the author will be exported as a text file containing the XML you would see in Authoring Space when you use the `Edit XML' button. In the case of problems for which you are not the author, an HTML file containing a rendering of a single version of the problem will be exported instead. You can also choose to export threaded discussions associated with items in your course.
