1.7 lira 25: \label{Upload Web Page}Special Notes on importing \textbf{Web Pages}\index{web page}: If you have already created a
26: web page outside LON-CAPA you can upload the images when you first
27: upload the web page, in one of two ways. Either:
28:
1.9 ! raeburn 29: (a) upload the web page via: Course Editor -$>$ Upload -$>$ Upload
1.7 lira 30: File, and check the \textbf{Upload embedded images/multimedia files if HTML
31: file} checkbox. You will them be prompted to upload the image files (as
32: dependencies)
33:
34: or
35:
36: (b) Create a zip (or tar) file archive containing the web page and the
37: images (e.g., in a sub-folder). Use:
38:
1.9 ! raeburn 39: Course Editor -$>$ Upload -$>$ Upload File
1.7 lira 40:
41: to upload the zip file. LON-CAPA will prompt you to decide what should
42: be done with the content.
43:
44: In general, there is no need for image/multimedia files to be loaded into the
45: course content hierarchy if the images are linked from a Web Page. Instead, upload the
46: web page(s) that contain the images, and then upload the images as
47: dependencies. One limitation of this method currently, is that if you
48: use the same linked content in many places, those file cannot be shared and must
49: be duplicated for each page. If you
50: upload a Web Page and forget to check to box to include embedded images/multimedia
51: files, you can still upload the individually. See the section
52: \ref{Docs_Web_Page} for more information about working with Web Page file dependencies.
53:
1.5 webbsuza 54: NOTE: Your new file will be visible the next time you log in, or by
1.7 lira 55: \fbox{re-initializing course}.
