Updating Course Management Manual Chapters 4 and 6.

    2: \textbf{Automatically forward messages sent to one LON-CAPA account to another}

    4: If you have multiple LON-CAPA accounts and wish to receive all communication in one account, set LON-CAPA to forward messages sent to your other accounts to the single account where you wish to receive your aggregated messages. You can forward messages to more than one account.

    6: To forward messages do the following:

    8: \item Select \textbf{Preferences} on the Inline Menu or

   10: \textbf{Set user preferences} 
   11: on the Main Menu.
   12: \item At the \textbf{Set User Preferences} screen, select 
   13: \includegraphics[width=0.03\paperwidth]{mail-reply-all}
   14: \textbf{Messages \& Notifications}
   15: \item In the \textbf{Forward messages to other account(s) in LON-CAPA} section, type your desired forward address in the text field labeled ``Forward to account(s)''. 
   16:   This should be one or more LON-CAPA addresses, in the form: ``user:domain'', separated by commas.
   17: \item Click the \fbox{Save} button.

   21: \textbf{Receive an e-mail notifying you when a LON-CAPA message is sent to you}

   24: LON-CAPA can also send new message notifications to your conventional
   25: email accounts. You can choose the specific types of messages
   26: which will cause notifications to be sent to the email addresses
   27: you provide. The specific types of message  
   28: are: critical messages, standard messages or any message. The notification email
   29: will include an excerpt of the text contained in the body of the original LON-CAPA
   30: message.

   32: To receive notification email do the following:

   36: \item Select \textbf{Preferences} on the Inline Menu or

   43: \item In the ``E-mail notification of LON-CAPA messages'' section, check the checkbox labeled \textbf{Add new address}
   44: \item Type a notification address into the text field
   45:    labeled \textbf{Notification address}. This should be an Internet email
   46:    address like ``user@example.com''.
   47: \item Use the radio buttons to select which types of LON-CAPA message should
   48:  cause a notification email to be sent to the specified address.
   49: \item Choose whether you want any HTML tags contained in the original message body
   50:  to be preserved in the excerpt included in the notification email.
   51: \item Click the \fbox{Save} button.
   52: \item Repeat this procedure to add more notification email addresses, one address at a time.
