Convenince labels added to the top of each file to assist in creating index-type help files for things like the XML editor screen (where there's nothing to hook help to).
\label{Variables_in_the_Answer_Block} You can use variables in the \textbf{Answer} part of the question, too. This means you can compute an answer to a question, which we'll see in a bit. If you set the answer of the question to be \textbf{\$variable}, \textbf{Save Changes} and \textbf{View} it, you'll see that LON-CAPA is now expecting {}``3.0'' as the answer, plus or minus 5\%.
