Communication blocking will prevent students enrolled in your course from displaying LON-CAPA messages sent by other students during an online exam.  Note, communication blocking blocks communication for all classes a student is enrolled in on LON-CAPA.  Be careful that you select correct and reasonable start and end times when blocking communication.

\item Select {[}COM] from the Remote Control or Main Menu to access {[}Communications and Messages].
\item Click {[}Configure Blocking of Student Communication During Exam].
\item Enter the Start and End dates and times for the event/exam you wish to block communication.
\item Label this event, e.g. \texttt{Exam 1}
\item Check which communication you want to block.
\item Check the the appropriate box to add this block.
\item Click the Save Changes button.
\end{itemize}
